Without the dancer
there is no dance
Whoever dances is a dancer. If you have dance as a profession you are a dancer even when you don?t dance. To develop a professional identity you must be on the move, both physically and intellectually. Dance is not something given. It is conceived. It establishes itself through language, through actions, by what we can distinguish, interpret and act out in relation to dance. Without the dancer there is no dance.
